Well, owing to the fact that I already covered Samuel's birthday party in the Utah post, here I'll just get down to the nitty gritty:
Samuel at 7
Favorite Foods:
pepperoni pizza, strawberries (he can down a pound of strawberries by himself in about 5 minutes), rice with soy sauce, smore's granola bars, cereal (seriously, any kind - but he must have cereal as one of his 3 foods for breakfast if his day is to start well! - also, the kid has to have 3 things for breakfast or he is not satisfied. I cannot even begin to imagine what our grocery bill will be in a few more years!), mom's lemon chicken and teriyaki chicken, sushi, peanut butter sandwiches, watermelon
Favorite Books:
Captain Underpants series, Star Wars graphic novels, Lunch Lady series, Fly Guy series, Berenstain Bear series - This kid loves to read! We go to the library once every 3 weeks. On the way home from the trip and for the days few days all S does is read. He flies through his books, giggling the entire time. He'll pick up his books and continue to re-read them for the next 3 weeks. His other favorite time to read is at night - he gets 20 minutes to read after he goes to bed and it's awesome to hear him giggling and reading out loud after we've kissed him goodnight!
Favorite things to do:
Play video games on the Wii (Star Wars, Super Mario Bros., Mario Kart, and Skylanders are his favorites), ride his bike and scooter around our cul-de-sac, swimming, rough housing with Grant and Tim, sneak food from the kitchen ;), read, camping, fishing, playing with our new next door neighbor William, and he just started Parkour lessons and he is loving them!
Favorite Places:
Odell Holland's house, Six Flags, Chuck E. Cheese, the library, Pump It Up, Utah
Favorite TV Shows and Movies:
Power Rangers, Lego Ninjago, The Master of Disguise, Despicable Me 2, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Not So Favorites:
Not being allowed to have any electronics on Monday-Thursdays - he's a pretty easy going kiddo!
Things we love about Samuel:
Samuel is always looking for ways to have fun, I love to watch him dance in the afternoon while I get dinner ready, he is awesome at giving compliments and helping people when he sees they are sad or in need, he has a great sense of humor (of the potty variety) and keeps us laughing - especially at the dinner table, he is such a good boy at church and in school and all of his teachers love how polite he is and how much he loves to learn!
We love you so much Samuel! You are such an awesome kid and we are so blessed to have you in our family. You are going to Rock 2nd Grade!
Love,
Mom and Dad
