Welcome to the Doolittle Family - 2019!
I cannot wait to see what changes this year brings! At the beginning of this year we were very settled on our family of 6 and have plans to stay in Austin. We plan on continuing to rent this house through May of 2020 and then buying a house in the Anderson Mill ward area. Lillie has settled nicely into her Freshman year at Vandegrift - minus Pre-AP Geometry - that leaves her in tears nightly. Sam is making some good friends in 7th grade at FPMS (but ready to drop band for theatre) and Grant is trucking along through elementary school. Mom forced him to be part of garden club this year. Isaac is still not in pre-K (waaaaay to expensive around here!) but he goes twice a week to super hero gymnastics and plays 3-4 days a week at the YMCA kids club. Mom works out there as a hobby, enjoys breakfast club and book club with Megan and Jamie, and working with the cub scouts at church. Things are going....alright for Dad at Hot Schedules. He continues to enjoy getting out to camp, backpack, and hunt. Mom and Dad are training for a summer backpacking trip to Mt. Rainer!

G COFFEE HOUSE POETRY
The 4th graders put on Coffee house poetry and it was awesome! The multi-use room was set up just like a coffee house with little tables and chairs. There were breakfast snacks and drinks for the parents and each kiddo got up and recited their own poetry. What a cool project! Grant totally rocked it up there. He had his awesome poem memorized and looked calm and cool in front of everyone. I was so proud!

LILLIE'S WINTER CHOIR CONCERT
It has been so wonderful to see Lillie grow in her singing talent and be a part of something so fun!
PLAYGROUP
We've started meeting at Urban Air for toddler time on the mornings with bad weather. Isaac cannot get enough of the rock wall!
G has started chess and really enjoys it! He competed in his first all day chess tournament. We went downtown to the host elementary school and G play several rounds - in between there was more chess, running around with friends, eating, reading, talking. It was a great day! I have loved seeing him pursue something that he really enjoys doing.
