Redland Oaks Dance Off

There was a dance of at L and S's elementary school towards the end of the year. My kids were practicing their songs like crazy a few weeks before the show. And their hard work paid off! It was such a fun event!

Grant's Pre-School Graduation & Last Day of School

We are so proud of you Grant! 2 years of school down and only 17 more to go! Grant is our 3rd kiddo to go through the pre-school program at North West Hills United Methodist Church. We have loved every moment here. The teachers are so full of love for the kids, and they put so much effort into each and every day. I always felt like I was dropping my kids off to a place where they were truly loved and wanted.
Grant, you have worked so hard, and learned so much... We are so proud of you!

Receiving his diploma from Ms. Jennifer Staver

Receiving his children's Bible from Mr. David

Waiting patiently with his class for the program to finish -
good thing the teachers gave them a bag of goodies!

Thank you family for coming out to celebrate with Grant!

Grant and his teacher Ms. Jennifer - for most of the year he had Ms. Jodi but then she had to be moved to a different class (sad days! When I told G that Ms. Jodi wouldn't be he teacher anymore he got so sad - I didn't know his bottom lip could stick out that much in a sad little pout!) but Ms. Jennifer was an excellent teacher as well and Grant finished the year off with a bang!

Samuel's 2nd Grade Class Field Trip

This year Samuel's 2nd grade class went to the Botanical Gardens for their field trip. I especially enjoyed this one as I have lived in this city for 20 years and have never been here before. I had a fun (and polite!) group of boys and this was a marvelous day!
Water Fountains - they never get old

L's 4th Grade Field Trip, Mom & Daughter Date, & L's Track & Field Day

L's 4th grade class has been studying TX history this year. Appropriately we took a field trip to the Alamo and to watch "The Alamo" at the IMAX.

I introduced Lillie to Grimaldi's tonight and luckily she loved it. I see more mother/daughter dates here in our future!

Being silly in Charming Charlie's

Lillie was tried out and made it onto her school's 4th grade track team! Here she got to participate in a district wide track and field day and represent her school:

She won 2nd place!!!

Playing Hooky

Our family BFF's the Holland's moved to Dallas last summer. We get to visit every once in awhile but we miss seeing them on a daily basis. I got word from Kethy that they would be in town for exactly one day. A school day. Hmmm....learning and education or skipping and having the first swim of the season with our BFF's at their hotel. Easy choice.

Easter 2014

Grant at his very last egg hunt at MDO

G and Ms. Jodi

We went up to Aledo to spend Easter with Jason, Becca, cousins, and Grandma

Nighttime egg hunt at Bearcat Park
This egg hunt idea went better in our minds - when it actually played out it was way, waaaay too hard to find all of the eggs. L ended up coming home disappointed because she was 4 short. So we hid 4 extras in Jason and Becca's front yard when we got back.

After the Easter Bunny visited our hotel room

 Completely conked out!

On Monday we went to Ft. Worth and visited the zoo. It was a great place and a super fun day!

In past years all of our kids have made a Fiesta float, but their new school doesn't do them. So here is G with possibly his last shoe box float ever :(  He chose a hot wheels theme and had a great time
