This year for Christmas we flew to Utah to hang out with family so we'll be documenting the two weeks visit.
The kids were super stoked to be riding an airplane! It's been a while as 6 tickets cost a boatload so we usually drive places. Thankfully Isaac traveled well and slept most of the way there.
We did a little day late bday party for Isaac that night so we could celebrate Doolittle style.
Starting the vacation off right with some mani/pedis
Woo Hoo we got some snow!
We spent the day in SLC ice skating, visiting the gingerbread houses at Hotel America and walking around temple square. Pretty sure this was one of my favorite days of the trip.
On Christmas Eve we went down to Draper to visit the Tree of Life. Pictures do not do this tree justice, it was completely breathtaking!
Here's the tree all set up on Christmas Eve just waiting for the kids in the morning.
Alright! A white Christmas!
We went to Idaho for a few days to meet baby Logan and hang with Allison and Brenden. Everyone (but especially Lillie) just loved that little baby to pieces! We had a great time hanging out, showing the kids BYU-I and all the places Tim and I would hang out. And we fit in some great sledding time.
Happy New Year! Here we are on New Year's Eve celebrating at Jen and Wendell's. And even though she was all the way in TX Grammy sent of pic of the traditional Burwell popcorn balls!
We fulfilled a lifelong dream of mine and went to Park City to visit UT's Olympic Village. It was so cool to see a lot of the places where the events took place and check out all the facts in the museum.
On our last day there Dianne kept Isaac (who was more than happy to stay back at home with his new found BFF cousin Eliza) and the rest of us went to Heber Valley to go snow tubing. We ended up being WAY overdressed and had to shed some serious layers. But it was a totally fantastic way to end our trip!
Once we got home Isaac was able to open his last present - this Road Rug that was too big to bring with us. He loves it!
2017 was a fabulous year and I loved spending it with the people that I love the most! Here's to a wonderful 2018 - I love you all!
Love,
Mom
