Sonterra Mutual - Recycled Art Contest a.k.a. Audrey's Last Official Activity :(

After nearly three years serving in the Young Women's Program in the Sonterra ward I am getting released and I am so sad! I have absolutely loved serving these girls and I will miss working with them all of the time. I'm especially sad because Lillie is coming into YW in July and I would love to be in here with her! But it'll be for the best as she should make her own way in her own program. But I really hope I get a chance to serve here again before she graduates!
Anyway here is the last activity I went to before I was released and also the last activity the Mia Maids and I were in charge of. We did a recycled art contest for a combined YW/YM activity and the kids totally rocked it! They had to use recyclable items and duct tape to create a scene from the scriptures. It was a total blast!

Grant - Reflections Contest

Grant is an awesome artist and really loves to create. He entered the NEISD's Refelctions Art contest and won honorable mention. It was out of several hundred entries and we were so proud of him!

Life with Isaac ~ 12 to 18 months

Isaac is such a cutie pie and a super smart boy. We love having him in our family! He loves everyone and makes friends all the time. Starting around 15 months he started saying a lot more words.
Isaac found the boys booster seats sitting out and loved sitting in a little chair just his size

He had even more fun when Samuel sat down next to him and
played swords with some wooden dowels we had lying around!

Visiting Grandad at Valero for lunch

Lately I am really having to make sure to keep the pantry door closed. Isaac has gotten way more interested in food and has figured out that he can get it for himself.
This is what happens when I'm not paying attention!
Hey mom. What's up?

Isaac loves his pillow bed that Aunt Jen made him for Christmas. He calls it his "pi-oh bay"

Best Buddies

Attempting to feed himself some blueberry yogurt

Isaac loves, LOVES his Daddy

One of the best things about Isaac eating food is that now it keeps him
super preoccupied at HEB so I can get more grocery shopping done!

About to get his 1st Haircut with clippers

Mmm... Mom isn't a fan. I miss your curls and I think you look too grown up!

Isaac loves to read books and I love finding him in cute tiny spaces

One morning I went on a field trip with one of the boys and Isaac stayed with
Tiffany Salter and her daughter Abigail. They had a great morning
together and Isaac was definitely ready for a nap when I picked him up!

Did I give birth to a human baby? Or Incredible Hulk Jr?

Another new favorite of Isaac's: Standing on the computer to pull things off the desk

Whenever I pull out the broom...so daily...Isaac says "my turn"
and wants me to give him the broom so he can sweep

Samuel loves Isaac so much and has such a tender heart towards him.
He always worries so much when Isaac gets hurt!

This kiddo gets so excited when his Grammy comes to visit him

Play-doh: a new favorite pass time

This kid loves toilet paper! I am always trying to keep the bathroom
door closed but every once in awhile the big kids forget to close it and he rushes
in a soon as he sees it open...and grabs a fistful of t.p. to eat. Wow.

The downstairs shower. Another place Isaac loves to escape to when the bathroom door is left open

Whenever Grammy comes over or vice versa Isaac loves to get a (3 mph) ride in the front seat. Also, and amazingly, anytime Isaac sees any mustang, no matter the year model or color he notices it and calls it Grammy's car. And says: "where Grammy go?" He's pretty freaking amazing!

One of Isaacs summertime (so March through November) activities is playing in the water in the backyard. It pretty much happens on a daily basis. His favorite are filling up containers with water then when their about an inch full saying "my turn" and carting the container off to dump the water somewhere. Then starting all over again.

And he LOVES to get drinks for himself from the hose!

But his favorite times are when all the bigs come and play with him

More cute random morningtime reading

Getting some love and cuddles from his sister when he's ready for bed but it's not quite time yet
(She is the best 2nd mommy to him!)

Big News for Grant!

Grant lost his first top tooth! What a cutie he is with that tooth window :)

Grant "Needs" Glasses...

...a.k.a. Mom and Dad are about to drop a cool $200 for no reason at all...

So....Grant has been complaining of eye problems for a while now. Mostly that he sees black lines outlining everything he sees. So we took him to get his eyes checked out. Turns out he needs a teeny tiny prescription. The Dr. said he likely just wants glasses so is complaining of the black line thing. Well we were so tired of hearing about this that we just went ahead and bought the darn glasses.
Yeah....I don't think he realized that they would take some getting used to and would actually look different through the lenses. We sent them with him to school. I believe he wore them for about a week. Nice. At least I don't have to hear about black lines anymore.

He does look super studly though!
