GRANT'S 4TH GRADE FIELD TRIP
Grant's 4th grade class studied TX History this year and took their field trip to the capitol. He got his BFF Cara in his group so it was pretty much the best day ever. I had a great time chaperoning!

Isaac went through a phase this last month where he likes to pretend he is a dog
and eat his food from bowls off the floor. That kid is hilarious!
It's a little hard to tell but I looked out the window one day and we had a huge swarm of bees on our tree! We called a bee guy to come safely remove and transfer them.
I guess this is what they do when they're looking for a new hive.

MOTHER'S DAY
We have been making a lot of trips down to SA this past several months - usually 2 or 3 per month - because Grandad's health has taken such a poor turn. Mother's Day was no exception. We had a really nice visit. This was our last time being able to see Grandad alive.
TXDOT started to get funny
We love you so much Grandad!
Isaac got free Mother's Day balloons at HEB! (the day after - he was pretty stoked and now thinks he always gets free balloons)

LIFE CHANGING NEWS
So.......Middle of May came and.....a certain friend did not come to visit. I was floored. So was Tim. After a week I took a pregnancy test. Memorial Day 5/27/2019 to be exact. The positive result showed up so fast there was no denying it. We had thought we were completely done building our family and were just absolutely shocked! After the shack came the excitement. We were going to have Baby #5! He/She should be showing up in 2020 around the end of January!

Since I knew I had about 8 days to feel good I went to work out

My Father and the kids Grandad Randall Keith Burwell passed away in his home on the morning of May 30th, 2019. My mom could tell it was the end and so called each of us girls and put us on speaker so we could tell Dad goodbye and that we loved him. I was in the car taking Lillie to school and so glad that I answered the phone. It was a sad and tender moment. I got a call about 15 minutes later with mom letting me know he had passed through the veil.
I love my Dad so much. I have known him since I was 3 years old. He came into our life and immediately treated me as his own daughter and never looked back. He made sure we were always taken care of and were raised with good morals. He always put himself last and took great pride in taking care of others who were at a disadvantage. He helped an enormous amount of people in his lifetime. It was awful to see the way his life ended and so abruptly at that. He leaves behind so many that love him, not the least of which are his grandchildren who he adored.

April 2019

Isaac is a wild man. He gets all kinds of injuries but still goes full throttle every day. Here are a couple of bad bumps :(

This humidity has got me looking like I'm straight out of a Jane Austen novel

Hahahaha! You're awesome Grant.

EASTER

We had a wonderful family Easter celebration with Grammy, Grandad, Allison and Logan, and Laura and Katie. It was the last major holiday we were able to spend with Grandad. He was very tired at this point and spent most of his time sleeping upstairs or in the recliner. He had a hard time enjoying food anymore but he was still happy to be able to come downstairs and take everything and everyone in.

This is the last group picture we were able to take with Grandad.
Unfortunately the cancer had really taken over at this point.

YMCA

One of my favorite things about this Y is the indoor pool. It's so nice to be able to swim when it's still cold outside!

More swimming lessons! New teacher this time - I kid you not, straight from China where she trained olympic swimmers there and I'm not gonna lie - she's a tiger mom for sure! The class started with 4 kids and the other 3 dropped out because she was so tough. Isaac loves all of her challenges though so it's pretty sweet that he gets private lessons every day!

Unbeknownst to this kid this was his last superhero gymnastics class. He has loved this class so much!
