Grant in "Suessical the Musical

Well we've got a 2nd grader so we get treated to another performance of "Suessical the Musical"!
Grant has been practicing these songs so much and we were so excited to come and see him perform. You'll notice that using a pair of crutches. A week or so before he was at Thin Air for a birthday party. 5 minutes in a huge kid double bounced the trampoline and he lost his bounce. He came down hard for a sprained ankle. At first the crutches and the attention from said crutches was pretty sweet. He soon became tired of the sore armpits though. It was cute to watch him hobble to his place at the mic though.

Way to go Grant!

We love you Grant!

5th Grade gets some visitors

For Samuel's 5th grade year his awesome teacher Mrs. D'Ambrosio (Homeroom/ Science), brought in some crazy awesome animals for their section on reptiles. These cool creatures stayed with them for a couple of weeks and families were able to go and visit them after school.
Grant was in hog heaven!

Also, a screen shot I took of a super nice text Sam's ELAR teacher (Karli Werner) sent me one day

Superhero to the rescue!

We found these pj's at Costco today and Isaac (being incredibly in to superheroes right now) just had to have these "Super-Batman's". And of course the outfit wouldn't be complete without his famous goggles:

Also, since he has been born until the day over a year later that I'm blogging this,
and probably forever after, this kid loves water.

We've got 2 in cub scouts now!

Now that Grant has turned 8 he is part of the cub scouting program through the church. Here he is on his first night as a wolf:
So handsome!

And Sam is about to earn his Webelos tonight!

What a rockin' kid. Way to go Sam!

The Baptism and 8th Birthday of Grant Harrison Doolittle

Grant Harrison Doolittle has chosen to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
Here are some of the sweet pictures we took at the temple grounds for his invitation:

This lucky boy got to be baptized on his actual 8th birthday. How luck is that?!?

Thank you to all of our wonderful family who came to attend.

Grant your dad and I are so proud of you for choosing to follow Jesus Christ. You are such a wonderful young man and I know you will find true joy as you spend your life follow the example of Jesus Christ and learning to be like him.
This was a long and crazy day because just after Grant's baptism we came back home for a birthday party!

The Snake Cake:
This is one of my most favorite cakes I have ever done!
I believe I might have carpal tunnel syndrome now but I don't care. This cake is too cool!
Grant has loved snakes and the color green for as long as I can remember so this was a pretty big hit.
