Citywide Bike Rodeo 2017

Both S and G placed 1st in their grade at the school's bike rodeo competition in the Fall so they qualified to enter the citywide bike rodeo sponsored by the SAPD. Tim took them down there for the morning and cheered them on while they competed and they had a blast!

Nice job guys!

Last Day of School!!!

It's time for Summer!!!!!!! It's officially Samuel's favorite day of the year - The Last Day of School which means he now has more days of laziness and fun to look forward to than at any other day of the year. This is also the last day of elementary for S so it's a pretty big deal. (I keep joking with him saying "what if we move somewhere where 6th is still elementary?!") Also it's the last day of 2nd for G and 7th for L. All of the kids did great in school this year and we are so proud of them.... but sooooo glad to get them home everyday and have some fantastic adventures!

In general this bunch is a lot happier than the 1st day of school

Samuel's 5th grade graduation:
with BFF Robert Mueller

with his fantastic 5th grade teachers:
Mrs. Porter - Math, Mrs. Warner - ELAR , and Mrs. D'ambrosio - Science

Good friend Jermaine

Good friend Weston

He was chosen to put the flag away in the school's closing ceremonies
And now the super emotional part - the 5th graders walk the halls of Redland Oaks one last time (with everyone watching and cheering them on) while pomp and circumstance plays over the speakers.

BFF Harlon

L on a leisurely stroll from said bus stop -
she loves school and is happy for summer but misses school too

After school celebration with friends at Orange Leaf - I loved this tradition we had while living on Sable Crossing!

Memorial Day at Inks Lake

For Memorial Day we got together with Uncle Jason and Aunt Becca at one of our family's favorite mutual places - Inks Lake. We had a ball playing in the water, hiking, and jumping off the cliff (which always makes me nervous but everyone else loves it)

Cub Scout Late Over

And now it's the boys turn: Cub Scout Late Over! It was crazy, it was fun, it was crazy exhausting fun! We did minute to win it games, made smore's over the fire pit, and had a lot of loud and messy fun.

2017 Redland Oaks Dance Festival

Well, Dad is looking for new jobs so this might very well be our last Redland Oaks Dance Festival. If it is I am so grateful that we were able to enjoy so many good years here. 4 dance festivals! And this is S's last one no matter what. I'm glad he was able to do the 5th grade boy basketball routine he has been looking forward to.
As always this was a great event and it was so fun to see neighbors and friends dance too!
G and his friend Keith Maxwell

Graduating baby!

As always Isaac is incredibly popular with the ladies

So cute to see how much G and I love Coach Jung (Young)

S and all the 5th grade boys

We love Redland Oaks teachers!

Especially you Mrs. D!
S has had Mrs. D. 2 years in a row and she has just been the best.
We are so glad you moved up to 5th with us Mrs. D'Ambrosio!
