Now that Grant has turned 8 he is part of the cub scouting program through the church. Here he is on his first night as a wolf:
So handsome!

The Baptism and 8th Birthday of Grant Harrison Doolittle

Grant Harrison Doolittle has chosen to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.
Here are some of the sweet pictures we took at the temple grounds for his invitation:

This lucky boy got to be baptized on his actual 8th birthday. How luck is that?!?

Thank you to all of our wonderful family who came to attend.

Grant your dad and I are so proud of you for choosing to follow Jesus Christ. You are such a wonderful young man and I know you will find true joy as you spend your life follow the example of Jesus Christ and learning to be like him.
This was a long and crazy day because just after Grant's baptism we came back home for a birthday party!

The Snake Cake:
This is one of my most favorite cakes I have ever done!
I believe I might have carpal tunnel syndrome now but I don't care. This cake is too cool!
Grant has loved snakes and the color green for as long as I can remember so this was a pretty big hit.

The red velvet was my idea...inspired by the armadillo grooms cake in the movie Steel Magnolias

Meanwhile back in the States...

While L and I were off exploring new lands Grandma and Grandpa Doo' were kind enough to come and help Tim watch the kids for the week. Here are some of their adventures:

Samuel's 5th grade field trip to Natural Bridge Caverns:

Our great friend Kirsten Maxwell was kind enough to send me pics of their
adventure since I couldn't be there. It looks like they all had a blast!
Seriously, I can't believe these boys are about to be in middle school...

Teancum Maxwell, Samuel, Harlon Walker, Robert Mueller, and Diego

And apparently the rest of the week Isaac just walked around everywhere in his beloved goggles:

Hahahaha! Too cute!

No seriously, the boys and Dianne had a great time together, I just didn't really get any pics of it.

And here are the parentals after the guys hung Lillie's beloved hammock

Thanks for holding down the fort H and D!
