March

Grant's embossed art at the GVH art show. He is an excellent artist!

Grant's 3rd Grade Musical - Pirates!

Grant and his friend Aarya

Austin has the best farmer's markets!
We love to go to the one at Lakeline Mall on Saturday mornings and get yummy treats.

We recently put this swing on the front tree. It was one of three swings we hung and thought it would be the least popular of all of them. It has turned out to be the highest ticket item! (As of Dec 2020 - when I'm finally blogging again I can say that it was popular every single day of the rest of the years that we lived in Austin.) The kids pull some pretty cool moves on this swing and the day it came down (so the grass could grow back underneath) was sad indeed.

I love how much these two cuddle

Isaac loves to chill in mom's reading swing.

Lillie's Spring Choir Concert

Inspired by Grant's 9th bday present from Grammy and Grandad Lillie Sam and I all decided to get an aquarium. I put mine in the kitchen and I love it! Here's my snail. His name is Bob. There's a pretty betta in there to. His (her) name is Stella.

SPRING BREAK
Jason, Becca, and their boys came to visit for a couple of days during Spring Break. We went on some cool hikes and took them to the Austin Nature and Science Center. We also enjoyed some yummy food trucks down town. We are loving getting to know and live in Austin!

Here we're hiking at St. Edwards Park. This is one of our favorites in Austin.
The trail is only a couple of miles long but there's tons of water to play in and it's gorgeous!
It's so easy to forget that you're in the middle of the city.

For the other half of Spring Break we took a camping trip to Palmetto State Park.
We invited Grammy and Grandad along with us.
Grammy was able to come but Grandad wasn't feeling well enough to come and sleep on the ground.
He did come and join us for the day though when we checked out the cute downtown area of Gonzalez.
This lake was FREEZING!

Playing Frisbee

This place had beautiful hikes!

The downtown area of Gonzalez was pretty cute. We checked out some boutiques and a cute antique shop. We also had a good time checking out the old jail they turned in to a musuem.

No road trip in Texas is complete without a random stop to WalMart for supplies. We let the kids pick out a "souvenir" from the trip. Without further ado:

Not pictured above but I believe Grant got a watch and Isaac picked out a car.

Grammy bought us girls matching cherry pj pants. We are so cute!

This kiddo had a blast burying his new cars in the sand and then digging them out again.

Tim has gotten into minimalist backpacking with ultralite gear. He ordered a special sleeping bag for it. Here he is trying it out. He says it weighs 12 ounces. That's crazy!

Sam got an electronics science experiment kit from Jason and Becca for Christmas. He loves building things in it. Here he made a motion sensor doorbell.

Isaac and his first time in the dental chair. Here he is with Dr. Klingsporn - our new Austin dentist.
When I called here to make an appointment we turned out to be like his 3rd client that wasn't a family member. He just opened this practice when we moved here. It was crazy because we could get an appointment whenever we wanted to. And he couldn't afford any hygienists so he did all the work himself. He was a great dentist though! And within a year he had built up an awesome and busy practice. We are so happy for him!

Grant - being awesome

I can't quite remember what we did here but I know we made these notes for FHE. Maybe it was stuff about how we love each other?
