We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. We had Grandma and Grandpa come and visit us from Utah and Auntie Allison and Uncle Brenden come and visit us from Idaho. Plus I wasn't preparing to deliver a baby this year! (That was a nice break :P )
Riverwalk Lights
The entire Doolittle/Burwell family went down to the riverwalk for a boat tour to enjoy the lights.
Big Lou's Pizza
While everyone was in town we thought we would introduce them to the wonder that is Big Lou's 48'' pizza. Plus our kids have never been here and that was just a travesty!

Christmas Eve Baking!

This year Allison found a gorgeous looking Red Velvet Cheesecake and made it for all of us. It was...ah-MAZING! We all (especially T) loved it! This will become a holiday staple.
Christmas Eve
Becca, Dallin, and Russell came down on Christmas Eve to spend a few days with us and they got here just in time!
Christmas Eve Presents!
Even though the big kids always know that they're getting a pair of pj's they are always still totally stoked to open them up. It must be all the tension building after seeing presents under the tree so long.
This year though we changed it up and they got 2 presents. Two presents!?! They were ecstatic. They received a big stack of books that they could read and help them get the Christmas-Eve-Santa's-Coming jitters out and fall asleep.
Ah Christmas Eve night....the one night a year that the boys wear a top pj and a bottom pj that actually match :P
(Dallin and Russell also received pj's that matched these but they weren't quite ready to put them on and take pictures after spending 5 hours in the car and little Seismic needed to go to bed.)

(And oh yes... the outfit that S is wearing is the only reminder we have that we did actually do a Christmas Eve Nativity play this year! It was fun/chaotic/slightly spiritual. In that order. Here's hoping to the order of that changing as the years progress!)

This year as with every year, the Christmas season is my favorite time. Not because of gift receiving, but partially because of gift giving. Mostly though I love how extra close to the Savior I feel. I love being with my family and the beautiful, spiritual, magical feel in the air. Merry Christmas ya'll!
