September

Fort Worth Zoo - We went to visit cousins for the weekend & had a great time at the zoo!

H-E-Buddy's Birthday! - I kind of think this actually means that it was HEB's bday? Doesn't matter. Because Isaac got to meet HEBuddy in person AND got to decorate a free cupcake. Best HEB trip ever!

Towel fights with Dad are epic around here:

Girls Camp 2018: Sonterra Ward
Lillie got to go back to camp with our old ward in San Antonio North Stake. It was back in July or August but I just got the pictures in. She had a blast with old friends and made some new ones!

Garden Club: I volunteered to run the garden club for PTA this year. Our first event was a community one to clear up the space and plant a new tree. We had a great time and look forward to fun activities this year! (I'm mostly excited to do this with Grant!)

Cul-de-sac Bake Off: Our kids got together with Tori, Ashley, Julia, and Sid for a cul de sac bakeoff. They each designed and made their own cake. We all got together and the adults were the judges. They were delicious too!

The Great Smoky Mountains: Tim and I planned and trained for a week long backpacking trip to the Great Smokies in Tennessee and North Carolina. It's been a dream of Tim's for a long time to hike the Appalachian Trail. To do the entire thing will take a looooong time and it's a plan of ours when our kids are out of the house. For now we got to hike part of it and it was gorgeous! Grammy came and stayed with the kids. We flew into Atlanta, drive the 4 hours to the trailhead in North Carolina, then spent the next 4 days weaving back and forth across TN and NC. On the last day we woke up and said: this has been breathtakingly gorgeous but we CANNOT sleep on the ground for even one more night! We hiked out, got a hotel in Gatlinburg and spent a couple of days shopping and sightseeing. It was beyond gorgeous and we had a wonderful time together! (Both on the trip and the many, MANY nights of hill training through our neighborhood.)

Happy Birthday Grandad! - This was the beginning of a trip down to San Antonio and the reason we came. Looking back we also didn't know but this would end up being Grandad's last birthday on earth. We love and miss you everyday Grandad!
